Double Duty (2-link spacing) Studded link, ladder style chains. Studded link chains are best suited to off-road applications as they have aggressive "U" shape links welded to the cross chain to provide better grip. They may damage pavement if used in correctly. Double Duty chains are used to increase traction and for a smoother ride as the chain is in contact with the road surface more often.
